Super Pledge Update!!! 100%
You guys….we got to 100%!!! Thank you to every family for helping us be the second/third class to get all our families registered! If you haven’t received your bracelet yet it will come at the next Distribution Day. Thank you for being the magical that makes this school so special! Many families want to be a part of this school because it has such a unique feeling of belonging as well as an amazing academic program! THANK YOU!
Mrs. Miller’s Birthday
THANK YOU for giving me the dearest COVID birthday! Teaching on Zoom has been an adjustment (I cannot lie) but I adore your children. Typically I would get to know their personalities much better in a much shorter time by spending each day with them alone in my classroom. This year it has taken a little longer but I am just really beginning to know some of their ins and outs, fears, and gifts and its so comforting to start to feel like a 206 family despite the COVID constraints! Thank you all for the lovely succulent gift (just gorgeous) and the gift card to sushi…a date away from our house with my husband….all time favorite! I was especially grateful for the Zoom on Friday. Besides being kicked off less times (WIN!), I loved watching them open their presents and seeing their little faces! I’m hoping we can wear these for Spirit Day and to show our TK and School Spirit all at once! Your children are precious and special and each in their own beautiful way bring me great joy! Thank you!
Parent/Teacher Conference Sign-Ups
Parent Teacher Conferences are coming soon! The week before Thanksgiving is the school Parent Teacher Conference Week. That week our Zoom time will be minimized as I will be meeting with every family to discuss your child and their TK journey. Sign-ups will go out in about a week. The link will be sent through email and will allow you to choose ONE spot per student. The conferences will be virtual on Zoom and will be approximately 20 minutes to discuss their progress, any concerns, and next steps. Be on the look out at the end of next weekend to sign up for a time. Thank you!
RED, ORANGE Sight Words: Do you know them?
Each month you will be receiving a new page of our Sight Word Rainbow. There will be 10 words each month! Spend a few minutes each night (or most nights/days) practicing these. In my years of teaching (and in my own parenting) I have found using the My Pile, Your Pile game works amazingly well! See game here: https://www.linneamiller.com/links-resources/ New Yellow Words will be delivered at November Distribution!
Asynchronous Work This Week:
Here is this week’s Asynch Work. The Seesaw Activities will match with an activity from our Morning Meeting or other activities in our week. I also really want them to work on retelling and connecting to ideas (cooperation) as this will become part of their reading tests not only
Anonymous Feedback Form
If you have feedback (positive or constructive) please take a moment to share your thoughts and feedback! Is the Asynch work too hard, easy, too much? Please note what group your child is in if you leave anonymous feedback as it will help me know how to specifically modify for certain groups. If you have an idea to share or that might be helpful, please also feel free to share anonymously. I am loving getting to know the kids better and that they are getting to know each other better despite the challenges we don’t typically deal with! Anonymous Feedback Form
