Thankful
We are utterly thankful for our 206 Family! This week was full and rich! Meeting with each family is a highlight as we get to spend 30 lovely minutes chatting all about each child and how awesome they are! To finish off the fantastic week, we get to have families and grandparents come together and be a part of our day! I enjoyed meeting and reuniting with grandparents! With this week week off of school, I hope you each get time to spend with your families and take a moment to treasure all the goodness that is present just in spending time together regardless of what you are doing! Much love to you all and looking forward to seeing you all after the Thanksgiving Break!
Grandparents Day/Thanksgiving Feast
This day was so awesome! I saw many grandparents adopt a child for the morning! This touched my heart! Thank you for extending your grandparent love to our entire classroom!
What a feast we had! We set up our tables in feast form and each enjoyed turkey, mash potato, cornbread, and fruit! Thank you to our wonderful room parents and all the other parents/grandparents who helped in planning, preparing, setting up, serving and cleaning! We couldn’t have pulled this off without you!
Color Day! PINK!
This week was in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness since the 3-Day walk is hosted here in San Diego this weekend! What a great job our kiddos did on finding all the pink they could! We had a boy and girl who won for the Pink contest!
Book Fair Visit
This past week we were able to visit the Book Fair as a class! The students enjoyed looking through all the books and some students were able to choose a book to purchase that day. At the end of our visit, one of the Book Fair volunteers read the students a book from the Book Fair! A special thank you to all the parents who volunteered their time to support all our TK’s in the Book Fair this year!
We Have Heart
Be on the look out for a special edition blog post this week regarding our very first “We Have Heart ” goal. As a class we will be learning about and focusing on the many people who go without the luxuries we have from day to day. Some go without health, companionship, food, homes, shoes and these are just to name a few! Each month we will focus on a new goal to help a new group of people. The best part about We Have Heart is the fantastic discussions that you can have with your child in their awareness of others and ways to help. All participation is optional, but greatly appreciated. The first goal we will work on will be coming out in the next few days!!!
