Welcome to TK!!!

Welcome new TK families! This year is going to be fantastic! Thank you for everyone who made it out the Orientation! We are super excited to get to know each of our students throughout this year!

We wanted to just post some reminders or additional information about the start of the school year. Please feel free to email if you have any questions.

First Week Assessments

If you didn’t get to sign up for an assessment time, please make sure you take time Monday morning to sign up on the lists for a 30 minute slot. These are short entry assessments where we will take each student in the class 1 on 1 to get to know them a little better and get an idea of where each student is as we began the new school year. Thank you parents for bringing them and patiently waiting outside while we assess each student.

Volunteer Fair vs Classroom Volunteering

Monday morning the AFP will have the Volunteer Fair where you will be able to learn about different volunteer positions where you can support our class and be a liaison with school wide events. There will be sign-ups for these positions at this time.

For Classroom Volunteering we will be sending home a form with your child this week where you will be able to sign up for volunteer times/days within our classroom.

School Supplies?

In case you were wondering if you needed to purchase any school supplies and if there was a list….you don’t need to buy anything! You and all the other parents/families that make up our AFP already purchased everything we need to get this school year going. So we want to first say…THANK YOU! Secondly, the only thing you need to start the year was already stated at Orientation and is listed below.

• Full-size student backpack with name label (to fit folder, snack, etc)
• Snack bag with name label
• Water bottle with name label (optional)

Folders

Your child will receive their take-home folder on the first day of school. This folder will go home each day and return home each day. Please check this daily for school and classroom info. The first day folder will have a few items in it. Please return these ASAP so that we can post photos on the website, get connected through the REMIND app and learn more about your child and family.
